The Challenge...

AS FEATURED IN SMARTLIFE INTERNATIONAL - NOVEMBER 2008

The client moved into the house having been told it had been prewired for his entertainment needs. We soon discovered that this was not the case and we had to add and move cables in what was already a finished home.

We were given a week to remodel the wiring whilst they were abroad for their wedding.

Working closely with the interior designer our electricians we were able to make the necessary changes and the house was redecorated so no evidence of the work was visible.

The result is a fully integrated home entertainment system in six rooms of the property providing Sky HD to each room and access to their vast DVD collection using the incredible Kaleidescape movie server.

Full 1080p Pioneer Kuro screens were installed in the family and cinema rooms. These were fitted with bespoke wooden surrounds. In the bedroom a special illuminated plinth was constructed to raise the TV to a more comfortable viewing height.

We integrated and extended the exisiting lighting control system and provided control of the custom designed colour changing chandelier.

Control throughout the home is provided by Crestron touch panels which use biometrics to provide personalised interfaces for each member of the family.
