Green Practices
Beyond the Invisible is committed to being a conscious member of the community by following these Green Practices.
- Reducing carbon emissions by minmising deliveries and efficiently scheduling site visits.
- Using public transport to visit central London sites where possible.
- Reduce waste by purchasing products from manufacturers who minimise or use recyclable packaging.
- Recycle materials from site, rather than using the site skip.
- Recycle cardboard and other materials.
- Design systems that consume less power and produce less heat.
- Advise on the re-use of heat produced from our systems.
- Lower our office energy consumption.
- Provide 'Green Enhancement' options with our system designs this includes 'anti standby' technology.
- Produce lighting designs that are Part L compliant and beyond.
- Provide heating and ventillation solutions that provide intelligent temperature controlled environments throughout the day.
- Fully support the WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) directive.
By law anyone selling new electronics must take back equivalent old electronics for safe disposal. For example, if we supply a new DVD player, we can take back an old DVD player or VHS player.
Any electronics returned to us are collected by New Leaf Recycling, who have a policy of re-use or refurbishment wherever possible. The disposal of all equipment is fully documented.
